The role will be working for Interventions Alliance Limited, alongside East Sussex County Council Multiple Compound Needs, Multi-Disciplinary team.</p>\n<p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:</strong> Due to the gender specific nature of this role, applications can only be accepted from women candidates. Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.</p>\n<p><strong>SALARY:</strong> £29,000 per annum + Benefits</p>\n<p><strong>JOB TYPE</strong>: Full-Time and Part time, Permanent</p>\n<p><strong>WORKING HOURS:</strong> Full time: Working 12-hour days, 4 on 4 off, 8 am to 8pm, including a half an hour unpaid break daily. &nbsp;Part time: Working 12.075 hours per week split over 4-5 days (£8,700 per annum). &nbsp;<br><br><strong>JOB OVERVIEW</strong></p>\n<p>The Multiple Compound Needs service is a two-tiered approach to supporting survivors of domestic abuse whose complex needs means they are not currently suitable for broader, community or residential survivor services.</p>\n<p>Tier 1 being community based, which provides support to survivors (all genders) experiencing multiple and compound needs but who are not at risk of homelessness or already homeless.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Tier 2 being the residential refuge service operating 24/7 365 days per year. The property, based in Eastbourne is for those survivors (female only) who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. Residents will be provided with housing advice, multi-agency liaison, targeted interventions and safety advice as they move towards securing safe accommodation locally.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>The Support Worker’s role will include:</p>\n<p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Working within a multi-agency environment, communicating professionally and appropriately with identified agencies, appropriately sharing information and risk on survivors to achieve positive outcomes.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Undertaking assessments of need and risk using a variety of tools to assess suitability for the service and to inform care plans for each survivor<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Delivering group-work and one-to-one sessions to survivor residents and survivors in the community&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;To work as part of a small team, engaging with residents to plan, arrange and deliver/co deliver structured activities to support the resident’s safe re-integration into the community.<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Provide practical assistance to survivors with everyday tasks and assist with the induction of new residents&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Engage with survivors in a pro-social manner, praising pro social behaviours and attitudes and sensitively challenging anti-social, aggressive or abusive behaviours<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Report any significant changes and share key information relating to risk of harm, safeguarding and/or reoffending or any non-compliances<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Undertake regular inspections of the building, assist with room inspections and follow prescribe medication procedures&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Essential</strong></p>\n<p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience of working with a diverse range of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties including substance misuse, mental health challenging and housing issues<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;A good working knowledge of domestic abuse and in particular, survivor’s experience&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Strong knowledge and understanding of principles underpinning effective delivery of services that meets the needs of vulnerable and complex women&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;An understanding of risk management, safeguarding and public protection and its implication on practice, within a residential setting. &nbsp;<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Being empathic, with the ability to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues</p>\n<p><strong>Desirable&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Previous experience of working with women within a residential setting<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;Experience of working with groups or individuals to support, motivate and change behaviour<br>• &nbsp; &nbsp;knowledge and experience of the Criminal Justice System</p>\n<p>This role is subject to an enhanced check level 2 which includes an Enhanced DBS check.
