The Service:
Beechside Residential Unit offers a comprehensive short break care service to children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years who have a severe physical and/or learning disability.
Your New Role:
You will be responsible for carrying out general cleaning duties to include lounges, dining rooms, occupational rooms, cleaners store, bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, stairs, corridors, halls, office areas. There will be occasions when you will need to do a deep clean such as washing down walls and paintwork, upholstery and furnishings as well as reporting verbally or in writing any defects in furniture, fittings and equipment to the shift leader of the day. You will also be responsible for processing items of laundry.

What you'll need to succeed:
You have previously undertaken domestic and laundry work in a residential setting or worked to a cleaning schedule. You are willing to undertake the wide range of cleaning and laundry tasks and be flexible with other duties you may be asked to undertake, and you have had formal or informal training in cleaning and laundry work. You understand what equality and diversity means in terms of staff and service users.
