As an Income Maximisation Officer, you will play a critical role in managing the sign-ups and lettings for void properties across Lambeth, with a focus on regeneration estates. This role is at the frontline of Lambeth’s housing efforts, ensuring smooth transitions from empty properties to thriving homes. You’ll also work closely with contractors, interim providers, and tenants to ensure efficient property turnaround. This role will require you to manage access, oversee voids processes, and visit properties regularly to meet tenants and address their needs. Proficient Excel skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain discretion in a highly political and sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end void property process, including sign-ups, lettings, and contractor access.
- Provide exceptional customer service, dealing effectively with tenant complaints and ensuring satisfaction.
- Coordinate property inspections, handovers, and key collections in partnership with contractors.
- Manage your workload and time efficiently, attending sites, meeting contractors, and maintaining office operations at Lambeth Civic Centre.
- Support regeneration estate projects and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to be:
- Organised and Reliable: Capable of managing your workload independently and meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel: Able to create and manage spreadsheets for tracking and reporting.
- Customer-Focused: Experienced in resolving complaints and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
- Flexible and Adaptable: Ready to take on a varied workload in a dynamic local government environment.
- A Relationship Builder: Comfortable developing strong working relationships with contractors, tenants, and colleagues.
- Discreet: Able to handle politically sensitive information with professionalism.
While experience in local government housing is preferred, transferable skills and a willingness to learn are essential. You will also need to be dependable, proactive, and comfortable challenging the status quo to drive improvements.
