Are you an energetic self-starting individual looking to gain a qualification in a recognised industry role, who would relish the opportunity to play a key role in our newly established Corporate Development Team (CDT)?
We are now seeking a Trainee Development Surveyor. This role will support the Development Surveyor and wider team with client-side financial management and contract administration of construction and development projects. You will support with procurement and management of budgets and contracts under the supervision of the Development Surveyor, producing cost budgets, advising on value engineering including responsibility for tendering and selection of consultants, contractors and suppliers and drafting agreements.
As a Trainee role, we take an active interest in your development and will ensure workload and experience are suited to your own needs for learning and growth. As part of the Council’s commitment to your future training and development you will be expected to study to achieve qualification in a relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject (Quantity Surveying, RICS, ICE etc).
As part of the CDT you will help support the delivery of numerous high-profile capital construction and development projects for the benefit of our residents and visitors.
