The Medway Safeguarding Children Partnership (MSCP) are looking to recruit a part time Practice Development Lead.
Reporting to the Business Manager the Practice Development Lead is responsible for the MSCP learning and development priorities, including leading on child safeguarding practice reviews in line with statutory requirements.
The Practice Development Lead is responsible for the strategic oversight of the MSCP sub-groups, holding statutory safeguarding partners and relevant agencies to account, advising the MSCP Business Manager and Safeguarding Partnership Executive on partnership performance, action for change and the impact of interventions for children.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to make a real difference to the lives of children in Medway. You will have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues in relation to children and child protection and experience of working in a multi-agency environment. You will also have an understanding of role of quality assurance and have the skills required to lead multi agency audits.
We’re looking for someone with development communication skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive information in an understandable way, using a variety of methods across a range of audiences.
About the Medway Safeguarding Children Partnership (MSCP)
The MSCP is a partnership of Medway Council, Kent Police and NHS Kent and Medway. The purpose of the MSCP is to support and enable local organisations and agencies to work together in a system where:
- Children are safeguarded and their welfare promoted
- Partner organisations and agencies collaborate, share and co-own the vision for how to achieve improved outcomes for vulnerable children
- Organisations and agencies challenge appropriately and hold one another to account effectively
- There is early identification and analysis of new safeguarding issues and emerging threats
- Learning is promoted and embedded in a way that local services for children and families can become more reflective and implement changes to practice
- Information is shared effectively to facilitate more accurate and timely decision making for children and families.
