Soulbury A Scale 6 – 11 (£52,678 - £61,848), plus Outer London Allowance, plus up to 3 SPA points (previously awarded SPAs will be honoured)
This is an exciting time to be joining Havering Educational Psychology Service (EPS), a thriving, fully-staffed EP team who are expanding (again!) having secured additional funding to expand our project work and early intervention work with schools while maintaining statutory services. We are a service who values our EPs, as reflected in our commitment to ensuring EPs have exciting, varied programmes, excellent support CPD and supervisory support, and, as noted above, to paying them at the highest range of the Soulbury A payscale.
Havering EPS sits within the wider SEND and Alternative Provision (AP) Service, offering EPs the chance to work closely with Advisory Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Havering's 0 - 5 Team, among many others, bringing to this multi-professional service their distinct psychological contribution.
We are seeking applications from qualified Educational Psychologists or Trainee Educational Psychologists in training. We want to hear from those who are looking to join a dynamic, inter-disciplinary and child-centred service, who are committed to applying psychology to make a difference for children, young people and families in Havering, and to anti-discriminatory including anti-racist practice, including through the service’s contribution to the development of DECP’s Self-Assessment Framework for Promoting Racial Equality in EP Services.
Havering EPs have protected time to support schools, colleges and special provisions through training, consultation, organisational change and policy work, as well as for targeted early intervention work, in addition to undertaking statutory work. As well as supporting their own 'patch' of schools and settings, delivering services free at the point of delivery, all EPs have the opportunity to develop specialisms, lead projects, explore their passions, and contribute to the design and delivery of a wide and expanding SEND Training Offer.
Working within Havering’s SEND and AP Service will offer:
The service has scope to make multiple appointments for the right candidates and is keen to hear from applicants seeking either full or part time positions. There is flexibility on start dates.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
