We wish to appoint a caring, confident, pro-active professional as our School Based Social Worker. The successful candidate should be emotionally intelligent, act with integrity and compassion, have good interpersonal skills and demonstrate care in all that they do. They will hold a degree in social work; have recent experience of working with children and families; have a working knowledge of safeguarding in schools; and be committed to excellent outcomes for Park’s community.
Under the direction of the Designated Safeguarding Lead, the School Based Social Worker will act as the lead safeguarding officer within the school and will line manage the Family Support Worker.

We are looking for a professional who has:
- a high standard of literacy, numeracy and IT skills;
- working knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues;
- experience of working with families, schools and other agencies;
- excellent interpersonal and leadership skills;
- the ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion of sensitive matters;
- the ability to work, at times, in demanding and stressful situations.
