However, if you have a disability and are unable to complete an online application, please email recruitment@walthamforest.gov.uk so we can arrange an alternative application method. <br><br><strong>About the role:</strong> <br><br>Would you like to be part of one of the most ambitious property licensing schemes in London? <br><br>We're looking to recruit a permanent Team Manager to support the Council's Private Sector Housing enforcement and licensing functions.<br><br>Waltham Forest is designated as a Selective Licensing area in 18 of its 20 wards and was one of the first Councils to adopt and use powers to impose financial penalties as an alternative to prosecution proceedings.<br><br>Waltham Forest also have a borough wide Additional licensing to compliment Mandatory HMO Licensing.<br><br>As Team Manager of the private sector licensing and enforcement team, the successful candidates will further develop the enforcement and development of the licensing schemes and manage a team of officers responsible for the enforcement and administration of the schemes.<br><br>The appointed manager will display a commitment to strong enforcement actions using the full range of available powers. Displaying excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility in working patterns and practices.
