Hours: Mon – Fri (8.30am – 4.00pm) 32.5 hrs per week (FTE: 77.57%) 39 weeks per year (term time plus 1 week)

We are now looking to appoint a passionate and inspiring HLTA to join Benhurst Primary School.
Job Purpose
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is one member of a team of professionals that will include teachers and other teaching assistants. The Team works together to care for and educate the pupils in the school. The HLTA makes a specific contribution to their specific subject area and / or curriculum contribution to the school teaching and learning programme.
You will:
- Share our commitment to building great learning communities for our pupils
- Support the vision and values of our school Inspire pupils with a passion for learning
- An understanding of specific learning needs and styles to differentiate support to pupils
- The ability to plan effectively to enable multi-tasking
- A desire to help all pupils succeed
- Compassion towards the needs of the pupils.
- The ability to exchange verbal information clearly and sensitively with pupils and adults
- The ability to work with a range of colleagues
- Work collaboratively across the school
