You will join a friendly, dedicated, and inclusive team. <br><br> We are actively recruiting for a Business Manager to support the Safeguarding Boards Business Unit (Adults) based in Stevenage. <br><br><b>About the role</b><br><br> You will play a key role in ensuring that adults are effectively safeguarded by agencies in Hertfordshire by:<ul>\n<li> Working with a wide variety of professionals across the different agencies in Hertfordshire who have responsibilities for safeguarding adults. </li>\n<li> Managing the workstreams of the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Adults Board. </li>\n<li> Managing and driving the work of the Board, sub-groups and safeguarding adults reviews under the Care Act 2014. </li>\n<li> Supporting the HSAB Independent Chair to ensure priorities are met. </li>\n</ul>Ideally you will have a broad knowledge and experience of working with adults and safeguarding. <br><br> You will be working in a fast-paced stimulating environment that would draw on and build your organisational skills, your ability to prioritise workloads in a relatively fast paced changing environment. <br><br> Your previous experience working in a collaborative team is essential in this role as together the team will work towards achieving goals and objective. <br><br> You will be leading on certain workstreams, managing an active and busy administrator, working closely with colleagues and external partners and individuals within the community. <br><br><b>About you</b><br><br> <strong>Essential</strong>:<ul>\n<li> Knowledge of safeguarding adults and legislative knowledge of Care Act 2014. </li>\n<li> Knowledge of safeguarding adult's multi-agency arrangements. </li>\n<li> Strong organisational and administrative skills. </li>\n<li> Competent use of Microsoft IT packages. </li>\n<li> Previous recent experience of line managing staff. </li>\n<li> Previous recent experience of working in a collaborative team. </li>\n<li> Able to travel </li>\n</ul><strong>Desirable</strong>:<ul>\n<li> Basic financial knowledge. </li>\n<li> Worked within a similar environment </li>\n</ul><br><br>This job role is within the Corporate Services, level CORP12 job profile.
