Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is a thriving and over-subscribed special school for students aged 11-19 years, who have learning difficulties (ASC, MLD, SpLD). There are currently 408 students on roll. The school has excellent facilities, as well as exciting plans for future developments.

Governors are seeking an experienced and successful leader with a proven track record of delivering educational excellence. You will bring strategic vision, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire both staff and students. You will understand the vital role of education in transforming lives and share our commitment to special education and inclusive values.
Ideally, prospective candidates for this post will have recent and relevant experience of teaching secondary aged students in both mainstream and special school settings. They will also be expected to evidence excellent leadership skills, which can be used to build on the school's existing and long-established reputation for excellence. The new Headteacher must have a clear and well-founded philosophy for inclusion and equal opportunities, which will take forward the school's specialist role in delivering outstanding educational opportunities to students on the Autistic spectrum in an ever-changing SEN educational environment.
