We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Mentor to complement the work of our staff in addressing the needs of children who require support to overcome barriers to learning.
The candidate must be:

- Be able to develop and implement strategies to remove barriers to learning

- Committed to learning more about pupils with special needs and how best to support them
- Support pupils with SEMH (social & emotional mental health)
- Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
- Be committed to an ethos of high expectations and a growth mind-set
- Have excellent communication skills

You will work together with the Senior Learning Mentor, to identify together with pupils who would benefit from learning mentor support and discuss concerns with teachers and phase Leaders
Organising a programme of activities outside the classroom that support the educational and social development of identified pupils, including play therapy.
Ensuring the transition from one phase to another is smooth and that pupils receive continuity of support where appropriate. This could involve liaison with pre-school providers and secondary schools.
