We have an exciting opportunity available for a talented Digital Content Designer to join us as a key member of the Digital team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full-time, 12-Month Fixed Term Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver high-quality, on brand digital content - drawing on evidence, data and research to justify and inform design decisions
• Develop compelling content and intuitive user flows that improve website usability and accessibility across our digital channels
• Act as a gatekeeper for online content, ensuring all digital outputs adhere to our guidelines and standards on brand, accessibility and usability.
• Oversee website content, databases, forms and self-service tools, maintaining consistency and quality across the board
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and engage in effective communication. Work in partnership to test digital services, gather user feedback and drive continuous improvement
• Contribute to the upholding and development of style guides and best practices. Provide support to internal users on digital guidelines, SEO best practices, and effective content creation techniques

Candidate Requirements:

• A degree-level education or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of key legislation and digital marketing best practices
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and interpret data to inform decisions
• Proven experience in developing and delivering digital content projects that drive service improvement
• Experience managing content management sustems within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
