Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and families? We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Home School Support Worker to join our dedicated and professional team.
As a Catholic school we value parents as our children’s first educators and we realise the impact difficulties can have on their development and ability to thrive. The role will involve liaising with families to discuss pupils’ needs and to act as a point of information for wider services. You will work with families and pupils to develop home/school partnerships, helping to overcome barriers to learning and promoting positive engagement with education and, where appropriate, external agencies. The role can be demanding but is also rewarding. It requires someone with the right knowledge, skills and experience, together with the ability to empathise and quickly gain the professional respect and trust of those you are supporting. In addition to working directly with pupils and their families, you will assist in school routines such as attendance and in general administrative procedures, ensuring good record keeping and protection of data. You will be part of the administrative and safeguarding team and will have experience of multi-agency working.
You will be responsible to the Headteacher with support from the many agencies that we work alongside.
