Hassocks Infant School is seeking to appoint a Special Support Assistant. The post will be temporary, for two terms and for 25 hours per week (9.00am to 3.00pm) starting on Monday, 6th January 2025, term time only, which includes a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

The role involves supporting the educational and social development of identified pupils with additional learning needs.
About the role
We would like to appoint somebody who will:
- Offer 1:1 and small group support for individual children
- Offer support at playtimes
- Provide specialist support and care for identified children, in line with their Individual Support Plans and Education, Health and Care plans
The successful candidate will be:
- Committed providing high levels of support to pupils, on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and enjoy working with children
- Forward thinking, creative and able to make learning fun
- Able to work effectively with members of the school community, including parents
