Bognor Regis Town Council is a progressive council seeking to appoint an ambitious,
creative, highly motivated and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Allotments &
In Bloom Officer.
The Council is offering an extremely competitive salary for the right person and there
may be future opportunities in line with the Council’s policy on succession planning.
The successful candidate must have good office-based personal and interpersonal
skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a small team. As well
as Council administration responsibilities, core duties will include managing Town
Council Allotments and carrying out the role of Clerk to the Bognor Regis In Bloom
Working Group.
The position is for 15 hours per week and is based on NJC pay scales for SCP 5 to 11
(£24,790 to £27,269) (pro rata £10,050 to £11,055)* depending on qualifications and
experience, plus contributory membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Time off in lieu will be given for evenings and weekends worked, when required. This
position is being advertised on a 12-month fixed term contract with a view to it
becoming permanent.
