Hertfordshire County Council Services for Young People is the primary provider of youth work, career education information advice guidance and work-related learning in Hertfordshire. We work with vulnerable young people to address emerging needs, improve life chances, and reduce escalation to more expensive and intensive services. This includes supporting those challenged in education, their community or home life, to ensure a successful transition to adulthood. The young people we work with are typically 11-17 and 18 to 25 if they are Care Leavers or have SEND.
About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible people who work well as part of a team to support the full offer to young people at one of our Young People's Centres.
This role will see you provide a full range of administrative and office duties to a high standard including updating, improving and managing computer databases, spreadsheets and management information systems, answering phone and email queries, processing invoices and timesheets and managing a small staff team.
There will be some front of house/reception duties in our Young People's Centres.

- Ability to travel to centres across Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere or North Herts & Stevenage.
- Line management experience
- Customer service experience
- Highly organised and ability to prioritise your workload
- Confidence in working in a range of settings
- Ability to use own initiative
- Good IT skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of dealing with a high level of confidentiality
- Patience and accuracy is key in being able to deliver this role
