The Application Process
Once you have applied, you will be invited to join us on 10th February 2025 to meet our school leaders, find out more about starting your career in Havering and have a short interview to be able to join the pool.
Once in the pool, your details will then be shared with schools and when a vacancy arises and Headteachers will get in touch with you directly. You are not under any obligation to take a role, but this approach opens up many more opportunities, without having to make multiple applications.
To apply, click on the link below and begin your application, ensuring that you cover these three areas within the supporting statement section:
- Outline a lesson or topic you have taught during a school placement. Explain what you did to make your teaching effective and how it supported pupil learning.
- Explain your approach to lesson planning. How do you adapt your lessons to address the strengths and needs of all pupils, ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to achieve their learning objectives?
- Teaching is a journey of constant learning. Reflect on a challenge you faced during a school placement and explain how you approached it. What did you learn from the experience, and how has it influenced your teaching practice?
