About the role
This role is politically restricted
We are looking for a highly organised, flexible individual with experience in electoral services. You will be required to demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of electoral registration, elections and referenda. You must be able to work well under pressure, show excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of accuracy. In addition you will support the Corporate Manager - Electoral Services and play a key role in increasing operational performance and developing others in the team. Good IT skills are essential, knowledge of Xpress software is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
About the candidate
This exciting opportunity will see you demonstrating a working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of electoral registration, IER, elections and referendums. You must be able to work under pressure, priotise your own workload and work with others to deliver all functions of a changing environment in electoral services.
The successful candidate should hold the Association of Electoral Administrators Certificate or be willing to undertake the qualification within an agreed timeframe.
You must be prepared to work extended hours during the busy election and registration period often at short notice, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays. The salary will reflect your experience and understanding of electoral services and provide a stepping stone for future development.
