Would you enjoy working with young people helping shape their future career? Patcham High School are looking for enthusiastic applicant for an exciting new role as Career Development Professional Apprentice.
The apprentice would work towards the Career Development Professional Level 6 Apprenticeship the training provider is Ixion Training Company. The apprentice would work within the school and develop and deliver the strategy with the leadership team.
In their daily work, apprentice will learn provide activities and services on an individual or group basis and these may be face-to-face or via on-line technology. They will interact with: clients with a range of needs and at different stages of career awareness. Employers to broker employment opportunities including work experience and internships; and other support organisations.
About the role
The apprentice will attend monthly remote training sessions with the Ixion the training provider.
They will be allocated a dedicated Skills Teaching Assessor.
• An individual learning plan will be developed with you and your Skills Teaching Assessor.
• You will have formal progress reviews with your assessor every 8-10 weeks.
• Coaching and mentoring forms an integral part of your individual learning journey to ensure you have the most appropriate guidance and support to complete your programme.
• At the end of your programme you will complete an end-point assessment with an independent assessment organisation.
• You will mutually agree SMART targets that take into consideration your individual ambitions and career goals.
Additional training will include
- Practical training at the school
- Shadowing.
- Coaching and mentoring.
- Online learning.
- Support with assessment.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
In order to apply for an apprenticeship, you must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years on the first day of the apprenticeship (or this includes EEA for UK or EEA Nationals with pre-settled or Settled Status) or have some other residency eligibility status.
