Reporting to the Head of Economic Development and Skills at Portsmouth City Council, you'll play a crucial role in identifying and securing new income generation activities, developing funding bids, and managing key relationships with partners.</p><p>As a vital member of our team, you'll ensure the effective delivery of contracts, manage financial claims, and commission high-quality third-party services. You will also lead the development of new programs and services, driving a diverse portfolio of projects that align with our vision. You will collaborate with unitary authority Economic Development teams, district and borough representatives, the DWP, and other government departments to make a real difference. Bid writing and commissioning experience, particularly in a local authority or business support setting, are desirable.</p><p>You will also have excellent organisational and presentation skills, substantial experience in building effective stakeholder relationships, and have experience in leadership to direct and motivate teams. Financial and commercial acumen is crucial to maintaining our self-funding service.
