Applications are invited for the post of Administrative Officer to the Commercial Team within Environmental Health. This is a full-time post of 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a busy and varied workload dealing with all clerical functions including filing, telephone call answering, database entries, invoicing and ordering and assisting the Commercial Team officers with their day to day administrative work. There will be the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in the work of the Environmental Health section and to provide a more supportive role with increasing responsibility as your expertise develops.
You will work in conjunction with the administrative assistant for the Environmental Protection Team and provide cover for the whole department at times when they are unavailable (and vice versa).
The Environmental Health department deals with a wide range of functions including food safety, health and safety, infectious disease, private sector housing, noise and drainage complaints, food safety training, pest control and animal welfare.
