We have a fantastic opportunity to join our ceremonies team. Are you looking for a flexible, casual role within a supportive and professional environment? West Berkshire Council is seeking a Casual Deputy Superintendent Registrar to join our Registration Team, to deliver high-quality registration services.
The Role
As a Casual Deputy Superintendent Registrar, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting marriage and civil partnership ceremonies in accordance with legal requirements
- Attending ceremonies at venues across West Berkshire
- Providing excellent customer service
This is a casual role, you will be required to work on an as-and-when basis, with no guaranteed minimum hours. The work pattern is variable with high demand during the summer months with fewer ceremonies during winter
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Experience working as a Registrar, with a thorough understanding of registration processes and legislation
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Professional and courteous manner when dealing with the public
