We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, inspirational and strategic Head of Music who will have the opportunity to lead a department in a successful and well-respected school with a large Sixth Form.
The successful candidate will lead a vibrant and innovative department, which has very good uptake from students at Key Stage 4 and A level music as part of the school’s curriculum offer in the sixth form. The post represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional ready to take on the challenge of further developing an already successful department and to further improve outcomes at all key stages. We currently offer the OCR GCSE in Music, and AQA A level in the Sixth Form. This post is not suitable for an ECT.
Highams Park School is a highly successful 11-18 comprehensive school serving its local community. In our most recent OFSTED inspection our school was judged ‘good’ and our Sixth Form, comprising of approximately 400 students, was judged to be 'outstanding'. At GCSE we have a positive Progress 8 score, and at A Level our results have been outstanding, as judged by ALPS, for 8 consecutive years.
