Data Analyst – Maternity Cover – 12 Months Fixed Term
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate with good data analysis skills to join APSE’s Performance Networks team. APSE performance networks is the largest voluntary public sector benchmarking service across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Used by over 200 local authorities it leads the way in local government benchmarking.
The successful applicant will be responsible for processing and analysing Local Government data. They will maintain data collection systems, carry out data checking procedures and create high quality reports.
Liaising with customers and colleagues, the role holder will process data, populate databases, interrogate and produce reports which will involve extensive use of IT systems, mainly Microsoft Excel with some use of Microsoft Access and SQL
Key responsibilities will include:
- To support local authorities in the data collection and error checking process.
- To set up and maintain appropriate systems to produce reports.
- Responsibility for data analysis and the delivery of accurate and timely performance indicator reports.
- Work with key partners and organisations to produce data reports and analysis
- Co-ordinate data audits
