Energetic, enthusiastic and solution focused you will bring recognised HR qualifications and experience. The Business Partner HR Manager will take responsibility for ensuring excellent HR service provision to one of our largest Service areas within the Council, Children's Services.
HCCs HR Department are looking for an HR Manager to work in our Employee Relations and Business Partner Team, managing the Children's Services BP Team. It is a team of 7, within the wider BP Team of 34 people.
About the role
1. Leadership and People Management
Motivational management to create a cohesive CS BP Team, providing clear direction and escalation point for complex ER cases and BP work. Take an active role as part of the HR leadership team to work collaboratively to improve performance, service delivery and create a "One HCC" culture.
2. Strategic Workforce Planning
Working with Children's Services and HR Resourcing colleagues to develop and embed a strategic workforce plan linked to our People Strategy, with a focus on establishment management.
3. Leading workforce change
Taking a change management and OD approach to support departmental restructures, workforce changes, TUPE, and the wider transformation agenda.
4. Employee Relations
Managing all the Employee Relations cases in Children's Services, providing clear advice and guidance on all Employee Relations matters to service managers and the BP Team.
5. Stakeholder Management
Working collaboratively with HR colleagues to ensure that Children's Services get an excellent HR service, including critical analysis and relevant support.

- Management experience
- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of Strategic Workforce Planning,
- TUPE, restructuring, change management
- Demonstrable knowledge and application of complex employee relations including case management
