The role: 

Liverpool City Council is on a significant transformation journey and we are seeking to appoint an outstanding Transformation Business Partner on a fixed term basis for 18 months (to cover maternity leave), with a proposed start date of early June or July. The Business Partner will work flexibly within our Business Partner Team but will be strategically aligned to our Children and Young People’s Services.

As a Transformation Business Partner, you will lead on the transformation support, challenge, advice, and guidance within directorates, taking a particular role and focus on the define, discover, and design elements of transformation initiatives. You will oversee a number of programmes, providing support leadership, and management to Programme Managers and their teams. 

Strategic experience of designing and delivering complex transformation activity, alongside senior leaders and corporate support services, will be valuable for this role. Our roles operate on a hybrid approach to allow flexibility between home working and office working at the Cunard Building. 

About you: 

We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering change and making an impact. If you have a Programme Management qualification or significant relevant experience, and you thrive in environments where flexibility and adaptability are key, then we want to hear from you! 

Our ideal candidate will have: 

• A track record in delivering large scale strategic change and enabling programmes on time and to budget
• Excellent experience of stakeholder management, dealing with senior colleagues across a range of functions
• Experience of inspiring confidence from your team, peers, and senior management
• An ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising work to deliver the most critical outcomes
• An ability to create solutions that deliver the best business results for the organisation

This is a fixed term post of 18 months to cover Maternity Leave.

Interviews are scheduled to take place the W/C 22 April and will be up to 90 minutes long, including a presentation on a topic to be disclosed once interviews are arranged. Interview questions will also be shared prior to interview.
