Due to the promotion of the previous postholder, the Governors of St. John’s C.E. Primary School are looking to appoint a highly effective, highly motivated, and ambitious Assistant Headteacher to strengthen the Leadership Team further. The post requires an experienced Teacher who is creative and innovative, with vision, drive, and commitment to work in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, all staff, and parents to build on the school’s achievements.
The successful candidate will teach and lead across the priamry phase, and be a member of the Senior Leadership Team. The post will include responsibility for leading the curriculum, and candidates should state their curriculum strengths in their application.
The successful Assistant Headteacher will:
- Be committed to actively supporting and promoting the school’s Christian vision, ethos and values
- Be an outstanding teacher with recent, successful experience across the primary phase
- Have effective subject leadership experience with sustained impact across the primary phase
- Use vision and expertise to assist the headteacher in leading the school

- Be an innovator who can lead new initiatives/projects
- Can make a significant contribution to the wider life of our school
- Be a resilient professional who can enable excellence and ensure our curriculum intent is implemented successfully
