About the school
Norwood Primary School is an established forward-thinking, fully inclusive, three-form entry school with over six hundred pupils on roll. The school is situated in fantastic grounds in Southport, and we are extremely fortunate to have access to beautiful woodland which we utilise within the curriculum.
Our school sits within an established cluster of schools, which provides exciting opportunities for colleagues to work collaboratively and share expertise and experience on a wide range of initiatives.
Whilst being a large school, we have a strong emphasis on creating a small school ‘feel.’ This has been enabled through structures and organisation which have created a calm and supportive environment for pupils and staff. Pupils are proud of the school, are happy and enjoy coming to school, statements supported in our last Ofsted inspection.
Our pupils come from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds, with families joining us from countries such as Poland, Latvia, Turkey, and Romania. These pupils settle quickly, and we take pride in nurturing confident, respectful, and resilient young people.
We are extremely proud of the achievements of all our children and the school community and our core values of Aspire, Respect and Enjoy is reflected in all aspects of school life.
