As part of the school strategic action plan to harmonise practice over three campuses at The Observatory School, we are looking to appoint an experienced Science teacher to work within the schools Knowledge Curriculum Faculty.
This job comes at the most critical junction in the school's development, we are currently settling in to our newly renovated second site whilst approaching completion of a third campus.
You will play a key part in this journey and will be supported by an exceptional Science leader, a wider Knowledge faculty team and a team of Assistant Headteachers, Heads of School, Executive Headteacher and Governors.
You will form an important link between the three sites, consisting of Bidston, Leasowe and Solar Campus. You will be based at the Leasowe Campus in a brand new state of the art science teaching laboratory delivering science to KS3 students. You will also play a role in nurturing a love of science for KS2 learners. You will also be technically skilled and able to manage your own prep-room work.
As a member of our Science Department, you will not only deliver captivating lessons but will also have the incredible opportunity to lead and participate in our award-winning extra-curricular STEM activities.
Our dedicated STEM team has garnered prestigious trophies at both regional and national levels, showcasing their exceptional talent in events such as the FIRST Tech Robotics Challenge.

Closing date for the vacancy is 20th December 2024 with commencement date of 24th February 2025, although this is negotiable.
