The centre handles a high footfall and is a hub of outdoor recreation in Berkshire. The centre houses a large dinghy fleet of over 30 boats, and an array of paddlesports equipment ranging from kayaks to giant paddleboards, accessing the 84 acres of Black Swan Lake. Dinton is also home to an indoor climbing wall, a 12m high outdoor high roped facility, outdoor archery range and low ropes course situated within the 350 acre Dinton Pastures Country Park.\nIdeal candidates will hold multiple awards in climbing, paddlesports and sailing and have substantial experience working in a commercial centre. It would be preferable if a candidate held multiple of these awards or had experience in the other activities such as archery, fencing or environmental education. You will also be responsible for developing the activity programme, applying for funding grants and liaising with NGB’s about participation uptake data. \nAs part of the centre management team you will occasionally be required to deputise for either the Centre Manager or Activities Manager, and lead on customer care. Other responsibilities will include centre administration, front of house duties, resource allocation, session planning, and risk assessment reviewing, and equipment checks. You will also be expected to manage training and development opportunities for instructors, offsite events, and coordinate maintenance tasks.
