An opportunity has arisen within Finance for a Specialist Finance (Capital, Assets and Treasury).
The role will support all of the technical functions within the council including VAT, Systems, Closure of Accounts, MTFP, Treasury Management, reserves, monitoring and support to the CFO and their team.
This role will support the Corporate Planning function within Finance. This includes all technical areas such as Treasury Management, Audit, Capital, Reserves, Monitoring, accounts closedown and MTFP.
The ideal candidate would have
- Good working experience and knowledge of specialist area
- Working knowledge of legislation
- Proven ability to give sound advice and guidance on a limited range of cases, topics or issues
- Experience of working with systems relevant to specialist area
- Experience of casework, within specialist area, some of which can be complex, and with some guidance and support of more experienced staff, occasionally referring to Senior Specialists for work outside previous experience
- Works well as part of a team
AAT or studying AAT essential
