We are seeking a Consultant in Public Health with an eye for innovation, strong technical expertise, and leadership skills to join our creative and forward-thinking Public Health team in an equally challenging yet inspiring local area. The post holder will lead on a diverse portfolio including ageing well, wider determinants, health protection and risk taking behaviors. New corporate objectives have established health and health inequalities as key objectives creating opportunities to influence how these are shaped.  

You will join an exceptional network of health and care providers and leaders to make significant contribution to protecting and improving health in the local systems, using your skills in evidence based practices and forward thinking approaches to improve the health, wellbeing and aspirations of local people.  You will have opportunity to explore your skills and passions with a focus on the widest definitions of determinants of health and join in an active and aspiring ‘Marmot region’. Halton Public Health team is a hugely active and vibrant training location, in addition to hosting Registrars in training, we are one the few remaining locations offering public health rotations to F2 doctors in training and welcome applicants with a passion for training, education and mentoring.

You will be located in an historic building in the heart of Runcorn amidst beautiful gardens and great facilities to promote positive wellbeing. Halton is a geographically compact location making active travel around the Borough an easy and positive opportunity.

This post is available on a full time 37.5-40 Hours dependent on your terms and conditions of employment. The role is on a permanent basis.
