This is an excellent career opportunity to join our experienced team to work within the contracted services areas of Waste Management, Street Cleansing, Public Conveniences, Parks and Grounds Maintenance.
Our residents advise us that these services are some of the most important that the Council provides. So, we would ask you to help us to make sure they are delivered to a standard that meets that expectation.
You should have the necessary skills to monitor and support the performance of the contractor to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with the contract specification. This may take the form of practical inspections and audits. You must be able to carry these out diligently, accurately with the necessary skills to record and report findings appropriately. You will be required to have a full driving licence and have your own vehicle available for which you will receive an Essential Car Users allowance.
You will be asked to receive and respond to customer requests and investigate complaints, so we are seeking the skills and experience necessary to achieve successful and positive outcomes. You will need to be self-motivated, possess a friendly and persuasive manner, have excellent customer service skills and be passionate about recycling, sustainability and environmental issues.
In the eyes of the public you will be an ambassador for the Council, and this will show through in your work with community groups and partners as you promote our services and meet our users.
