Are you an accomplished professional with a track record of leading and managing successful construction programmes? We are seeking an experienced leader with a depth and breadth of experience from inception to completion across the full project cycle who would relish an opportunity to lead and shape the newly established Corporate Development Team (CDT).
This important role will ensure the delivery of numerous high-profile capital construction projects for the benefit of our residents and visitors, spanning multiple industry sectors. If you are ready to take on an exciting new role, work across boundaries to tackle challenges and ensure our substantial capital programme is sustainable and deliverable, then this could be the opportunity for you.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the Council’s Programme of Development and Construction projects is properly managed in terms of scheduling, resourcing and risk, using your negotiation and influencing skills to manage expectations and deliver schemes on time, to budget and within quality tolerances. The role will be crucial in driving projects forward and ensuring delivery.
We have a robust Medium Term Financial Strategy and several exciting development opportunities due to significant external investments into the district. We need someone who can work across departments to help deliver our capital aspirations and capital financing functions. The successful delivery and careful management of our Capital Programme is essential to our financial stability and future success.
This new role will take on overall responsibility for the CDT with direct line management of several key roles within the newly established multi-skilled team.
You will report to the Deputy Chief Executive (s151), working closely with wider stakeholders, both internally and externally to enable the delivery of our Fit for the Future Programme underpinning our Council Plan.
If you are interested in this role, please submit your CV along with a supporting statement of no more than 2 sides of A4 demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the Person Specification and Job Description to recruitment@rother.gov.uk
