This role will include reviewing customer contributions towards the cost of their care and ensuring any entitlement to welfare benefits and allowances are maximised.</p>\n<p>You will check information is correct and that customer charges are based on up-to-date information – in line with the Council’s policy and the Care Act.</p>\n<p><strong>Apprenticeship</strong></p>\n<p>The successful candidate will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship delivered by Impact Futures.</p>\n<p>The postholder will need to be confident with the use of Microsoft Office and be willing to learn new systems. This may include contributing to development of IT systems to support improvement.</li>\n<li>Ensure the review of the assessments are dealt with correctly and in a timely manner, giving advice and guidance as required.</li>\n<li>Liaise with legal services in order to seek advice on complex legal issues relating to financial assessment reviews, where appropriate</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Candidate requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.</li>\n<li>Good IT skills including Office software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.</li>\n<li>Ability to actively listen to extract and assess important information.</li>\n<li>Experience within a customer focused service providing excellent customer service.</li>\n<li>Experience of working with vulnerable customers</li>\n<li>Experience of administering processes to tight timescales and with a high level of accuracy.</li>\n<li>Previous experience of working in an office environment.</li>\n<li>Able to work with budget holders on a high-level basis</li>\n<li>Full Driving License & access to own car</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Apprenticeship requirements: </strong></p>\n<p>You must have been a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake this training programme.</p>\n<p>If you do not have a level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English, you will be required to work towards achieving these qualifications as part of your apprenticeship.</p>\n<p><strong>Our Area</strong></p>\n<p>Wokingham Borough is set in the heart of Berkshire with excellent transport links to Reading and central London. We have an excellent opportunity available for a Financial Assessments Review Officer Apprentice to join our Adult Social Care Team here at Wokingham Borough Council, on a full time, 18-month Fixed Term Contract.
