Do you have the drive and some spare time to canvass properties as part of our annual registration canvass? If so, we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for enthusiastic, focussed and friendly canvassers to help us with the annual compilation of the Register of Electors. This forms an important part of maintaining democracy and the right to vote at elections and referenda.
From the beginning of August numerous correspondence is being sent to all households in the Borough to collect or confirm information on the people living at the property who are entitled to register to vote. Accuracy, an eye for detail and good customer service skills are essential for the role.
Time Period
Work should be completed in your own time, and for best results, in evenings and weekends. The house visits will take place between Tuesday 5 November and Monday 2 December 2024.
Payment
You will be paid a rate for each property you visit and a higher rate for each property you receive a response from. You will also be paid a rate if you assist a resident in registering to vote. Typically, you can earn anywhere between £450 and £600.
