Teaching Assistant

The Local Academy Board of Wolverham Primary and Nursery school (part of Concordia MAT) wish to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated and caring teaching assistant to work within our foundation stage team in our 2/3-year-old provision. This is a temporary position working full-time (35 hours, term time). There may be a role within the wider school too in the afternoons to support in other classes, but this would be discussed on interview. 

We are looking to employ a Teaching Assistant who shares our vision of excellence and can sustain the excellent progress that our foundation stage provides. We have a 24 place 2-year-old provision which is almost full and a 30-place nursery which is full.  We need someone who will nurture and provide an exciting and stimulating learning environment for our children alongside the current, strong team.

Ideally, we would like to employ someone who has a qualification on the approved qualifications list for EYFS but would be able to consider applicants that do not have this but have experience working in a 2/3-year-old setting.
 
Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants for the post will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes and an enhanced DBS check. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The salary will be on a Grade 5 and the SCP subject to experience.
