St Helens Library Service is a modern library service that is vibrant, valued, excellent, responsive to customer needs and at the heart of local communities.
Our Library Supervisors contribute to the management, delivery and promotion of the Library Service, responsible for library staff, buildings and provision of an effective, welcoming library service to every customer.
The Role
Based in the busy town centre library of Newton le Willows, this essential supervisor role will directly supervise a team of library assistants and oversee the planning, preparation and delivery of a wide ranging events programme for all ages.
Library Supervisors deliver class visits, Read & Rhyme Time and Baby RhymeTime and train and supervise library assistants to undertake the functions of their role.
Library supervisors support the library book stock and performance management of the service including development and promotion of the library service and vital partnership work within the local community of Newton le Willows.
Library Supervisors are required to work at all Library Service points across the borough depending on service need and be committed to equality of service and high standards of customer care.
