Interventions include specialist seating, moving and handling, specialist equipment and major adaptations including Disabled Facilities Grants.</p>\n<p>The successful candidate for this role, will be compassionate, resilient and creative in finding solutions and positive outcomes for our Wokingham Children. This will include maintaining and developing our existing close working relationships with OT’s in our neighbouring Local Authorities, and other crucial external parties.</p>\n<p>We would welcome applications from Occupational Therapists at any stage of their career, including newly qualified Occupational Therapists with a passion for paediatric work.</p>\n<p><strong>The Occupational Therapist role:</strong> You will be responsible for a caseload of children with disabilities. You will work with these children and their families to undertake holistic OT assessments, with a view to identifying risk and need; and work with multi-agency networks to develop and review plans that address and mitigate concerns in a timely manner.</p>\n<p>The ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders and communicate effectively in a verbal and written format are key to performing this role, alongside a secure safeguarding understanding.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Service: </strong>The CWD Team includes a range of resources tailored for families in the Wokingham Borough. The CWD Team is made up of 4 Social Workers and 3 Occupational Therapists. The team is headed up by a Team Manager who has been with Wokingham Borough Council for two and a half years and an experienced Assistant Team Manager.
