Job Purpose:
- Support vulnerable and hard-to-reach families with access to information within their communities, encouraging them to engage with services and Family Hubs.
- Use community networks, meeting places, and venues, including home visits, to promote and encourage the uptake of services.
- Support meaningful and co-produced participation work.
- Use personal and recent experiences to engage and inspire others to seek help and support.
- Assist the Family Hub team in improving communication with service users and families.
Main Duties:
- Provide information, advice, and guidance to help individuals overcome barriers to accessing Family Hubs.
- Support the Family Information team in staying updated about community groups/events and conducting targeted outreach.
- Ensure service user needs are communicated and help provide solutions to meet these needs.
- Approach and engage with families reluctant to seek help, sharing personal experiences and promoting services.
- Visit community venues and homes to build trust and encourage engagement.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of available services and share this information innovatively with families.
- Support the delivery of workshops and group activities, using co-production principles to seek feedback and improve services.
- Engage with Youth and Family forums to establish community priorities and reach new families.
- Work directly with children, young people, parents/carers, and communities to ensure their views shape Family Hubs.
- Support families until they have the confidence to access support independently.
- Be an inspiration and role model, helping community members reach their full potential.
- Build relationships with local services to connect families with support and activities.
- Ensure SEND, Social Care, and Health plans have complementary community resources.
- Support community events that promote the Early Help partnership and share good practice.
- Provide summary reports of key activities, identifying barriers and successes.
- Attend meetings, training, seminars, and conferences to assist in Family Hub development.
- Commit to equal opportunities, safeguarding policies, and professional self-development.
- Maintain accurate records, adhering to GDPR, confidentiality, and information sharing protocols.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to promote and celebrate Family Hub development.
