The Post
Are you interested in developing your career in a fast-paced dedicated Safeguarding Adults & DoLS Team? If you have substantial experience in care management and safeguarding and would like to specialise and develop your skills further in safeguarding this may be the role for you.
If you enjoy fast paced frontline work this may interest you. You would be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of safeguarding adults at risk in Brent Council, ensuring appropriate measures are taken to protect individuals at risk of abuse or neglect by providing expert advice, managing cases and promoting a culture of safeguarding across all staff whilst promoting Making Safeguarding Personal.
We are looking for someone who enjoys fast paced work, who works quickly with good decision-making skills, is able to prioritise work and support and manage staff undertaking Section 42 (Care Act 2014) enquiries. You will work well under pressure, have a good sense of humour and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You will have substantial care management and safeguarding experience, good report writing and case recording skills and the ability to work with a variety of staff and stakeholders from different disciplines. You will be passionate about keeping vulnerable people safe and applying legislation appropriately to do so.
