About us
We are a small housing association providing low cost rented accommodation to people who find it difficult to compete in the private rented sector. We set high standards for the service we deliver and are happiest when tenants say they are satisfied with what we do.
Our key aims are to:
- Maintain very high resident satisfaction
- Provide more homes for people who need them
- Support communities and enable opportunities for individuals
Our head office is in Orpington, but our homes are in several locations across London and the West Sussex.
The role
You will provide proactive housing management, ensuring tenancies are sustained, estates are well maintained, and residents feel valued. This includes resolving tenancy matters; tackling anti-social behaviour; conducting estate inspections; and working closely with internal teams and external partners such as Social Services, Police, and support agencies. Regular visits to estates and homes is essential to maintain relationships and address concerns directly. You will also use tenancy enforcement tools where necessary to uphold agreements and ensure compliance with housing regulations.
Your patch will consist of 224 homes in the boroughs of Crawley, Croydon, Lambeth, and Islington. Therefore, ability to travel and access to a car is essential. Business travel costs such as mileage and rail fares are reimbursed.
You will have direct line management responsibility for a Sheltered Scheme Manager and an Estate Caretaker, as well as oversight of cleaning and gardening contracts.
To meet the needs of our residents, occasional evening working is required, but always with reasonable notice. There may be rare occasions that you are asked to swap your nonworking day to accommodate meetings, but always with reasonable notice.
About you
We’re looking for someone proactive, empathetic, and committed to delivering a residentfocused service. You should have a good understanding of tenancy law, housing options, and landlord-tenant responsibilities, as well as experience handling ASB; tenancy fraud; safeguarding; and tenancy enforcement.
