£54,937 to £60,008 FTE inclusive of £706 London Weighting and a one-off welcome payment of £7500 subject to T&Cs. This welcome payment will be pro-rated based on part-time hours. (Please see attached documents for full details)

We are looking for an Employment and Housing Solicitor or Barrister, preferably with 3 years post-qualified experience. Part-time will be considered for either discipline. The successful candidate(s) will be enthusiastic, confident, reliable and passionate about law with a strong focus on client care and customer service.
We are a small team who work closely together to ensure we are providing the best support to the Council’s officers and members. Sometimes the work is challenging however there is also time for finding creative solutions and every day is different.
A high level of professional judgement and political awareness is required.
Key responsibilities...
- To provide client focused, high quality and responsive specialist advice and assistance across the Council and schools on employment law and/or housing law matters.
- To advise and represent the Council in respect of both contentious and non-contentious employment and/or housing law.
- To advise and represent the Council in court and tribunals.
- Develop your skills and competencies in a learning environment which values creativity, teamwork and innovation.
- There will be opportunities for continuing professional development through attendance at courses, viewing of webinars and undertaking training sessions for clients.
