Housing Retrofit and Sustainability Officer

The Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) is expanding its Housing function and recruiting to several roles to support evolving policy, targets and funded projects as part of nationwide Government initiatives, and the ambitious LCRCA Corporate Plan.

We are recruiting for a Housing Retrofit and Sustainability Officer to join the Housing Partnership team. This role is a great opportunity for someone who has experience within housing and / or green industries and is accustomed to developing stakeholder relationships, collaborative working and contract / grant funding agreement and reporting. Working with the project team this role will also help drive project planning and delivery, working within funding parameters and shaping outcomes that suit the needs of the Liverpool City Region.

About the person

Essential skills and knowledge for this role:

•‍ Subject Relevant Degree or equivalent experience in relevant housing / building industry

•‍  Relevant professional experience within the housing industry and/or experience of one or more of the following sectors/disciplines: Land and Property / Housing / Regeneration / Energy / Sustainability / Retrofit / Environment / Geography / Social Sciences or similar

•‍  Demonstrate a broad understanding of housing retrofit and the carbon agenda, key messages and experience of communicating these

•‍ Experience of project planning - with the ability to establish priorities, project plan and drive delivery to meet time and budget

•‍ Experience of developing good working relationships to persuade, negotiate and influence

•‍  Good written and oral presentation skills with ability to present complex ideas in a clear way and good experience of presenting reports and briefings

•‍  A commitment to providing a high quality customer service and ensuring service standards are met

•‍  Ability to work autonomously as appropriate, with time management skills and a flexible approach

•‍  Demonstrate the organisation’s behaviours; Liverpool City Region First, Respect and Action Focused
