The Young Carers project gives Young Carers a break from their caring role, a chance to leave their problems behind and just have time to act like a Young Person and have fun.</p><p><strong>Your New Role:</strong></p><p>You will provide high quality administrative support to the Young Carers team in the Somerstown Family Hub, playing a vital role in the administration and smooth-running of business processes and responding flexibly in order in support of the service priorities. You will organise, plan and prepare for meetings, including booking venues, producing materials and ensuring adequate facilities. You will take minutes, deal with enquiries, place orders and deal with invoices. You will draft and deal with correspondence, enter data into systems, and carry out all necessary word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation duties. The role is mostly office-based, with infrequent opportunities for hybrid working.<em></em></p><p><em>Please read the job profile for the full details of this role.</em></p><p><strong>What you'll need to succeed:</strong></p><p>You have experience of working in an administrative role within a busy office environment and ideally, experience of working in Children’s and/or Young People’s Services. You can consider approaches to standard tasks in a creative, ‘future-thinking and forward-looking’ way. You can take accurate and detailed minutes of complex meetings with confidential and sensitive information. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent numeracy and literacy skills, excellent communication skills, and experience of budgetary monitoring. You have a customer-focus (internal and external) and can demonstrate consistently high standards of customer care and customer service.
