Fixed Term Caretaker

Band D

20 Working Hours –  52 Weeks per Year

Fixed Term from 27 January 2025 to 18 July 2025

 

Fender Primary School and Ganneys Meadow School and Family Hub share a site with both joint and independent facilities. As our Caretaker, your role will be split evenly between the two schools.  Your duties (including security, routine repair work, maintenance, compliance and some cleaning) will be shared with our Morning caretaker. This role is fixed term as we are looking to advertise a permanent full-time contract from July 2025 on the retirement of our morning caretaker.

 

The ideal candidate will:

 

Demonstrate a commitment to working with both Headteachers and Business Managers to ensure our schools are always the best they can be. 

Be hardworking and flexible with a can-do attitude

Have the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner and a willingness to learn new skills. 

Be able to identify and prioritise tasks

Have a good standard of DIY skills in joinery, plumbing, painting and general maintenance

Have an awareness of health and safety requirements

Be a team player and have good communication and interpersonal skills

Understand the importance of confidentiality and following safeguarding and other policies
