Significant capital investment is anticipated over the coming years and this role will have a pivotal part to pay in the delivery of these exciting capital projects.</p>\n<p>The role will act as a key liaison between the Finance Team and the wider organisation, linking in with Senior Managers and Project Leads in support of the delivery of the capital programme.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Capital Programme Accountant – LCRCA Bus Franchising</strong></p>\n<p>The LCRCA is embracing a once in a generation opportunity to integrate and improve our public transport network, aiming to make journeys quicker, cheaper, greener and more reliable. Following a major public consultation in Summer 2023, a landmark decision was made to move to a bus franchising model in the region. This will bring bus services into public control, giving greater control over fares, routes, and timetables, allowing services to be operated in the interests of local bus users.</p>\n<p>This role will have responsibility for providing a comprehensive and proactive financial management service offering commercial and financial insight on this major programme, and investment for the Liverpool City Region, ensuring value for money.</p>\n<p>The role will adapt through the different stages of a project, from procurement to delivery of the programme. Typically the service works with people who have a Learning Disability or who are Autistic. PBSS is staffed by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts, assistant behaviour analysts and behaviour practitioners and was the first of its kind in the UK to be developed within the context of a Local Authority. Within the service there are 4 core domains:</p>\n<p>Technical Support: full functional assessment, development of a person centred intervention plan, supported intervention and exit and maintenance criteria.</p>\n<p>Crisis prevention: skilling up of mainstream services through training opportunities.</p>\n<p>Early Intervention: behaviour analytic support within education settings.</p>\n<p> Placement development: supporting people to move out of hospital or back to their local areas from out of borough placements.</p>\n<p>PBSS has a team of dedicated Assistant Behaviour Analysts and Behaviour Practitioners who support the Behaviour Analysts to complete assessments and deliver intervention. You will be responsible for supporting children and their parents with activities that support a child's development, utilising Portage small steps approach. There will also be opportunity for you to expand your own skills through a personal development plan.
