The ideal person is a suitably experienced professional with good organisational and analytical skills, has an eye for detail and can manage their own time efficiently.    </em></strong></p>\n<p>This role will report to the Community Transport Manager and be responsible for overseeing the contract management and maintenance for a small fleet of vehicles, across Council departments. This role will also support the Senior Finance and Data Officer with the day-to-day financial management for home to school transport, adult social care transport, community transport, volunteer transport and public transport.</p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scheduling and overseeing regular maintenance and repairs of vehicles in line with the Council fleet management contract.</li>\n<li>Collabarating with Council depatments to support operational needs in relation to fleet.</li>\n<li>Supporting with the procurement of fleet related contracts .</li>\n<li>Overseeing the delivery and return of lease or hire vehicles.</li>\n<li>Keeping up to date with, and advising of, any regulations and legislation relating to an in-house fleet.</li>\n<li>Raising/receipting purchase orders, checking invoices,  and keeping acurate financial records in relation to transport finances.</li>\n<li>Supporting with the organisation and adminstration of personal transport budgets and spare seats on Council operated school coaches.</li>\n<li>Supporting with data input and the analysis of transport data to help track performance of routes and contracts.</li>\n<li>Providing excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders in relation to the activities of the community transport unit.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>• Closing date: 11pm, Sunday 6th April<br>• Interview date: 24th & 25th April, subject to change<br>• For an informal discussion, please contact: Rebecca Brooks, Rebecca.Brooks@wokingham.gov.uk or 0778 382 8221</p>\n<p>Wokingham Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff, other workers and volunteers to share this commitment. Along with the administration of mandatory disabled facility grants, discretionary housing renewal grants/loans, immigration inspections, empty properties and domestic energy efficiency. </p>\n<p>This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role working within the private sector housing team.
