Flexible working, generous leave, outstanding pension scheme, work laptop and mobile phone.</strong></p>\n<p>Dinton Pastures Country Park, near Reading, Berkshire, is seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the senior team at the recently opened, multimillion pound NetZero carbon activity centre building.  </p>\n<p>Dinton Activity Centre is a thriving local authority centre. The centre handles a high footfall and is a hub of outdoor recreation in Berkshire. The centre houses a large dinghy fleet of over 30 boats, and an array of paddlesports equipment ranging from kayaks to giant paddleboards, accessing the 84 acres of Black Swan Lake. Dinton is also home to an indoor climbing wall, a 12m high outdoor high roped facility, outdoor archery range and low ropes course situated within the 350 acre Dinton Pastures Country Park.</p>\n<p>Ideal candidates will hold multiple awards in climbing, paddlesports and sailing and have substantial experience working in a commercial centre. It would be preferable if a candidate held multiple of these awards or had experience in the other activities such as archery, fencing or environmental education. A background in equipment maintenance, sports development or centre management or administration would be desirable.</p>\n<p>Required Qualifications</p>\n<p>Either:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>RYA Senior Instructor</li>\n<li>Climbing Wall Instructor or Rock-Climbing Instructor</li>\n<li>BCAB Sheltered Water Coach in Canoe/Kayak/SUP</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Along with</p>\n<ul>\n<li>First Aid (minimum 8hr)</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desirable Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n<li>RYA Safe and Fun</li>\n<li>RYA PB2 and Safetyboat</li>\n<li>RYA Powerboat Instructor</li>\n<li>RYA Level 2 Race Coach</li>\n<li>RYA Advanced Instructor</li>\n<li>RYA First Aid Instructor</li>\n<li>BCAB Paddlesports Instructor</li>\n<li>BCAB SUP Instructor</li>\n<li>16hr Outdoor First Aid</li>\n<li>Archery GB instructor</li>\n<li>Fencing Core Coach</li>\n<li>Bushcraft and Wilderness Skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p>As a Senior Instructor we will expect you to lead groups of clients, individuals and staff as required by the Activities Manager, and to make sure that these activities meet the standards required in the centre operating procedures.  You will also be responsible for developing the activity programme, applying for funding grants and liaising with NGB’s about participation uptake data. </p>\n<p>As part of the centre management team you will occasionally be required to deputise for either the Centre Manager or Activities Manager, and lead on customer care. Other responsibilities will include centre administration, front of house duties, resource allocation, session planning, and risk assessment reviewing, and equipment checks. You will have extensive experience in tree surveying.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Your main responsibilities will include updating and managing tree inspection records, offering sound expert advice relating to tree management and safety, advising Council planners and insurers, and being a credible witness in the case of insurance claims.
